![]() TOM, is a basic cigar overrolling machine capable of wrapping practical all current cigar shapes with a natural wrapper or sheet at speeds up to 85 (was 60) cigars per minute. TOM utilizes two wrapper leaf carriers and one rolling device in order to achieve this output. So each leaf carrier runs only at half speed. New on the TOM is the module "sheet feeder" with a high output. The principle off cutting sheet is very efficient and therefore reduces the waste of sheet. NEW:
movements of machine have been optimized. |

The
TABEXPO in Paris was for
PMB Tobacco a big hit. November 2007. Our exhibition team did an excellent job and gave a warm welcome to our customers. We impressed many visitors on our booth by demonstrating the next generation overrolling machine at a speed of 85 double lengths a minute. Next generation because the Twin Overroll Machine is an innovative concept and has proven his reliability. The TOM is by far the best overrolling machine there is. Frans Liebregts explained visitors "This speed increase is probably not the final limit for the TOM, because it made 100 cigars a minute in test environment". PMB guarantees the TOM is running reliable production on 85 beats a minute, producing quality cigars by simplicity and proven technology. One example is our perfect controlled glue system, which guarantees no loose wrappers. "By making all production cost, reject cost and additional investments transparent, a new build concept like the TOM does reduce the cost per cigar", stated by a visitor on our booth. remanufacturing does rejuvenate your equipment. April 2006. Overhauling a machine can be done on several ways. At the end a customer is only satisfied if the machine is performing. Not only the first weeks, but for many years. The philosophy PMB Tobacco sticks to is a quality approach. We do not believe in cleaning and replacing some bearings. We start with an extensive analysis of the machine based on long time experience. Select and examine all the functional parts and we leave no doubt because we replace many parts by new manufactured parts. High performance also requires recoating, regrind, repaint in other words PMB is the specialist in remanufacturing a complete machine. As everybody knows we do have all the original drawings, specifications and experience to give the original PMB machinery a true economical second life. Visit our plant to see an example of remanufacturing. |

PMB Tobacco handling and treatment line completed. December 2005. The first line - completely produced by PMB - for handling and treating cigars has been build and is at the point to be delivered. The line is completely stand-alone and can be seen on PMB premises. Cigars are fed by using a hopper, which can handle fourfold length cigars. In the first section off the line the cigars are cut in 4, than the cigars are perforated and further collated in 2 rows before it is fed in a double tray loader. In the past Maveco already installed these lines at several customers. PMB Tobacco evaluated the equipment and made some improvements. At first to comply with PMB quality standards, but also to support customers with spares and accurate information for the long term. |

Needle injector system for flavored cigars on TOM overolling machine or stand alone. October 2005. PMB has tested together with a customer an injector system. The experience and knowledge gained on this test site will be coupled to the well performing TOM overrolling machine with sheetfeeder. This gives our customer again more flexibility in change over, in this case different flavors. This flexibility does have several advantages, f.e. testing and introducing a new flavor has almost no logistic impact in the regular cigar production. For more information contact us. |
